Our challenge and responsibility is to produce safe, healthy and affordable food from finite resources, whilst at the same time protecting and enhancing the environment for future generations.

Mark leads Grosvenor Farms as its MD with the objective of optimising commercial and social benefit, ensuring that it produces high quality food in a sustainable way, using less land, water and energy whilst enhancing the natural environment.  

Mark joined Grosvenor Farms in March 1998 as Managing Director. He has been instrumental in developing Grosvenor Farms into one of the largest producers of high-quality nutritious milk and cereal grains, with one of the lowest carbon footprints.  

Before 1998, Mark spent 16 years with ADAS working as an Agricultural Management Consultant, both in the UK and abroad.  

His industry roles include governor of Harper Adams University, which delivers higher education and quality research for the delivery of a sustainable food chain and rural economy; a member of the Dairy Science Forum; a trustee of The Dairy Futures Charity; partner in a large US dairy farming business; a past trustee of the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers (RABDF) and a former chairman of the 1,000 Cow Club. He is a Non-Executive Director of Tatra Forest, Slovakia, a 5,000-acre organic farm producing milk, cheese, herbs and berries. He is also a past MD and current Non-Executive Chairman of Cogent Breeding Ltd, a leading UK based bovine genetics business. 

Mark was educated at Aberystwyth University (BSc Hons Agric Econ 1981) and has since successfully completed a range of professional qualifications including BASIS and FACTS. 

He is a Fellow of the Royal Agricultural Society.
