Japan is the second largest economy in the world. Since 2000, a sustained recovery has proven to be elusive. In an effort to revitalize the economy, the Japanese government continues to implement a wide range of structural and regulatory reforms. Major changes are also taking place in the corporate world as companies strive to increase competitiveness by moving away from traditional employment practices such as lifetime employment and seniority-based wages.
Our business began in Japan in 2000; our first office was opened in Tokyo in 2001. With our first residential development project, Kamizonocho underway, we also have investments in Tokyo, Osaka and Yokohama.
