Bordeaux

Bordeaux is the regional capital of Gironde and the seventh largest agglomeration in France. Situated on France’s western coast 600 km from Paris, the city is also close to the Spanish border and other big agglomerations such as Toulouse (230 km) and Montpellier (475 km).

Bordeaux is a strong regional capital; with a population representing around 926,000 inhabitants, Bordeaux and its periphery benefit from a significant catchment area. Also, Aquitaine's economy represents about 4.5% of France’s GDP. Due to Bordeaux’s heavy reliance on tertiary activities, the region is expected to grow at a slightly higher rate than the national average.

In Bordeaux, Grosvenor is also becoming a major investor and now owns more than 11,000m² in the heart of the city’s commercial district, in the Rue de la Porte de Dijeaux, Cours de l’Intendance and Cours Georges Clémenceau.

Grosvenor’s strategy is to strengthen further its exposure in Bordeaux, increasing asset management opportunities in the years to come.
