The economic prospects for Toulouse are bright. The city - with a population of around 800,000 - has seen considerable consumption growth over the last 5 years. In view of the overall economic outlook, Grosvenor research forecasts a slowdown in economic growth to around 2.2 % per year for Toulouse, although this is still above the national growth level which is estimated at around 1.3% to 1.5%.
In the fifth largest city in France, Grosvenor now owns 6,100m² of retail space on the Rue d’Alsace Lorraine, the busiest shopping street. This represents a total investment value of €50m.
Grosvenor’s strategy for France is to develop long-term investments in high-potential cities like Toulouse.
