Grosvenor Group achieved a record profit in 2007. Profits before tax increased by 3% to £524m and the Group earned a total return of 14.4%.
Among the most significant events in 2007 was the entry of Sonae Sierra into the Romanian market through the acquisition of the River Plaza Mall shopping centre in Ramnicu Valcea - 170 km from Bucharest - and the launch of two new projects in the cities of Ploiesti and Craiova.
