The Liffey Valley Shopping Centre is one of Ireland's premier shopping centres, owned with Aviva and attracts more than 10 million customers a year. It enjoys a pivotal position at the heart of Dublin's orbital M50 motorway, serving West Dublin and the wider region and comprises 46,500 sq m fully enclosed retail space. Key traders include Marks and Spencer and Dunnes Stores as anchor tenants, as well as Next, Boots, H&M and New Look. In addition to retail outlets, other amenities include 3,150 free car parking spaces and public transport links and a 14-screen multiplex cinema operated by Vue.
An ancillary four star hotel, 26,000 sq m retail warehousing, motor mall and offices, are all located within the site. Liffey Valley has designated 'Town Centre' planning status.
A 7 ha (17.3 acre) development site adjacent to the centre has potential for a significant extension including a new 32,500 sq m mall and foodstore.
Proposed public transport improvements include an extension to the Metro west line (fast Dublin tram) and the Luas tram line to Dublin city centre.
