North Audley Street is a prime location in London's exclusive West End. It runs in a southerly direction from the western end of busy Oxford Street, meeting Grosvenor Square at the south end of the street. Its vicinity to Selfridges, Bond Street and Oxford Circus make it a very desirable location at the heart of Mayfair with high footfall from Oxford Street shoppers, local office workers and the local resident population.
In 1725 most of the land was let in large blocks at very low ground rents. Nowadays a number of large buildings of the late nineteenth and twentieth centuries offer their ground floors generally to a variety of shops and restaurants. The current retail mix is therefore one of cafes and restaurants which are mainly of a 'family' style operation. Interspersed with the food uses are a number of ‘community’ uses including a bank, convenience store, pharmacy and printer.
Recently we have seen a number of redevelopment opportunities in the area including the American Navy building, Avis and the use of Brownhart Gardens on Duke Street. The vision for the street is for it to continue to act as a local amenity street, predominantly serving residents and office workers and but to encourage more of a variety in cuisine and price. The intention is also to enhance the ambience and environment in line with the new schemes in the area, offering an enjoyable atmosphere in which to dwell.
Grosvenor has a number of interior designed apartments for rent in the immediate environs. If you would like to live in this area further information can be found at www.grosvenorlettings.co.uk
