A career at Grosvenor

As an international group, Grosvenor brings together people from different professional disciplines and different cultures. It is a stimulating mix, but a common approach is vital. It is integral to the success of the business that, from their first day with us, our people know what our brand stands for, understands our strategy and are able to become part of the glue that binds us together.

Career development

At Grosvenor, we are committed to helping you develop your career and offer a variety of learning and development programmes to support you. These include:

  • A core skills programme to support the development of essential business skills
  • Leadership programmes that help build management skills, such as coaching
  • Sponsorship of professional skills and qualifications as appropriate

As an international business, there may also be the opportunity to visit and work in another of our 15 offices.

Benefits and wellbeing

The wellbeing of our people is incredibly important to us. We are committed to creating a healthier workplace environment that enhances the productivity of our people. This includes offering a range of family-friendly policies, and, in the UK, a series of seminars focused on mental, physical, spiritual and emotional health in partnership with 360 Health and Performance.

Our newly renovated Hong Kong office is designed specifically to provide a heathier, more collaborative and productive workplace for our employees.  It is amongst the pioneer offices in Hong Kong targeting to achieve WELL and LEAD certifications.

We offer competitive packages for our staff, which reflect responsibility level and reward exceptional work and results. The majority of our benefits are tailored by location to meet the specific needs of our people, their families and lifestyles, and the provision of generous pension benefits is an important part of Grosvenor’s philosophy.

Charitable activity and volunteering

Grosvenor is committed to being part of and supporting the communities that we are active in. This is done through a variety of initiatives, including supporting charities through our regional charity committees, participating in fundraising sporting events and organising our own activities, such as bake sales. The Grosvenor Britain & Ireland charity committee organises the largest of our fundraising events - a bi-annual ‘Grosvenor’s Got Talent’ gala in London, which, in 2016 raised £90,000 for the company’s chosen charity.

During 2017, Grosvenor Americas donated a total of $515,000 to philanthropic, educational, sustainable and local charities. Employees from our Calgary and Vancouver offices volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, a global non-profit housing organisation helping to build affordable housing for people and families in need and our Washington, DC office spent a day assisting at the Capital Area Food Bank by sorting groceries and making bags.

We also encourage our people to get involved with charities and causes important to them and have a volunteering policy to enable them to do so.

Diversity and inclusion

Grosvenor strives to be an inclusive organisation that welcomes, respects, and encourages diversity of thought and background.  We strongly believe that our diversity strengthens us, and our shared values unite us.

As part of our commitment to diversity and building an inclusive environment, we have signed up to the National Equality Standard (NES) which was developed by businesses and the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC).  The NES is now being utilised globally and is supported by the British Home Office and the Confederation of British Industry (CBI).
