Grosvenor's work on the newly branded 'F1RST' mixed-use development places it at the heart of the Capitol Riverfront redevelopment programme: one of the largest currently underway in the USA. The proposed development will complement and enhance the surrounding neighbourhood through innovative design, residential amenities and an eclectic retail offering. Central will include 31 below market rate units and a large amenity package with an outdoor pool, a bike workshop and a Wi-Fi cafe. 'Wingspire', a lit-glass structure designed by William Cochran, will feature as public art. By designing spacious and innovative building amenities for residents, we hope to create a meeting place for residents to engage and interact.

Downtown Silver Spring is considered a major entertainment, retail and employment center an eclectic mix of retail, restaurants, music and entertainment and a thriving business district.  The area is going through a major transformation to accommodate the growing population and demands of the market with plans for interactive public plazas and community meeting places.  Silver Spring’s transformation plan will encourage alternative transportation methods by installing bike paths through the business district and bike stations in new mixed-use development projects.  

Central is located footsteps from the Metro Station which provides a 15 minute commute to downtown Washington DC.
