In October 2017 F1RST Residences held a free Paint Jam event where attendees were invited to help create a custom mural designed by DC artist JD Deardourff. Around 190 people were involved in the creation of the vibrant 1,950 square foot mural located on F1RST’s rooftop which also contains an open-air stadium-seating viewing area complete with an 80” TV as well as multiple grill stations and dining areas.

F1RST is located in The Capitol Riverfront District, D.C’s fastest growing neighbourhood that includes diverse employment opportunities and a variety of amenities including restaurants, nightlife, parks, entertainment and culture.

Centrally located, F1RST is within walking distance from the waterfront, a block from the Navy Yard Metrorail station, a mile from Capitol Hill and minutes away from the Washington Navy Yard, a destination for tourists and work-place for thousands of federal employees.

F1RST, designed to LEED Silver, offers 325 contemporary rental apartments in a variety of studio, one- and two-bedroom layouts. Residents at F1RST are provided access to a variety of amenities within the building including a 24-hour full service concierge, state of the art fitness center, contemporary club room with chef’s kitchen, in addition to a rooftop pool, hot tub, Dog Park and an outdoor stadium-seating style theatre with views into Nationals Park baseball stadium. The rental apartments sit above 2,300 sq m of boutique retail space. Retail tenants include Taylor Gourmet, Roti, Chipotle, Rasa, [solidcore], Barre3, Declaration and Chop’t.

87% of construction waste for the residential portion was diverted from the local landfill to recycling facilities.

In 2017, F1RST was recognized on multiple occasions as one of the Best Apartment Buildings in D.C by The Washington Post, Washington Blade and Delta Associates.
