The Beaumont

Placemaking hotel in Mayfair, London

Grosvenor developed and designed, in collaboration with renowned restaurateurs Chris Corbin and Jeremy King, a Grade II listed art deco building into a luxury bespoke hotel.

The hotel, The Beaumont comprises of 73 bedrooms and suites, public areas including The Colony Grill restaurant and American bar, a separate residents' bar and lounge, and a gymnasium and Turkish bath. The design of the hotel evokes the elegance of pre-war Mayfair.

Living art

The Beaumont Hotel in Mayfair, developed by Grosvenor in partnership with Corbin and King, features the first inhabitable work of art by leading British artist Sir Antony Gormley.  A sculpture by the artist serves as a unique guestroom for the hotel which opened in October 2014.

A video of Antony Gormley talking about ROOM is available to watch at www.grosvenorlondon.com

An enhancing addition to the neighbourhood

The first inhabitable work of art by leading British artist Sir Antony Gormley forms part of one of the suites. The striking sculpture ROOM is a massive, modular piece made from stainless steel and fumed oak, placed on a low-level wing to the south side of the building's facade.

By developing a hotel, rather than a residential scheme we have created greater amenity and destination appeal supporting our long-term placemaking strategy. The Beaumont overlooks the recently renovated Brown Hart Gardens where guests can enjoy regular events including a fortnightly food market.

A new star on London's hotel scene

The hotel opened to huge acclaim winning Luxury Travel Intelligence's 2014 Best Hotel in the World award and making it to the shortlist of Wallpaper's Design Awards, GQ's Hotel of the Year Award 2015 and on to Conde Nast Travel Hot List 2015. Writing in the Daily Mail, India Sturgis commented: "The Beaumont was deemed 'perfect' by Luxury Travel Intelligence's experts and perfect it is." The Independent's, Tracey McLeod added: "There's magic here, more of that grand old hotel atmosphere [and] an old-school grace that is very seductive".
