Grosvenor is kicking off a Big Weekend of Cambridge sport by hosting a jam-packed programme of sporting activity on Parker’s Piece this weekend - the starting line of the Cambridge leg of the Tour de France.
The property company which has been active in Cambridge for over 30 years is proud to be sponsoring the Sports Zone at the Big Weekend – the three-day FREE event of music, entertainment and sport held on Parker’s Piece from Friday, July 4 to Sunday, July 6.
The Big Weekend precedes the world famous Tour de France which is this year passing through Cambridge with the Third Leg departing from Parker’s Piece on Monday, July 7.
The Grosvenor Sports Zone is open on Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6 from 12noon - 5pm (approx) on both days and will be hosted by Grosvenor staff for the second year running.
Grosvenor is also supporting the Cambridgeshire FA Youth Mini World Cup, being held on Saturday, July 5 from 12noon-5pm. Each team represents a country of their choice in a fun football festival for players of all levels.
Other weekend highlights include:
Unique Cycle Sport, Rollapaluza, will give budding cycle racers the chance to battle it out on customised roller-cycles in timed races against the clock and friends
More than 15 Cambridge sports clubs demonstrating their sports activities and offering taster sessions
Cambridge United Community Trust and Cambridge Cats Basketball

Giant Noughts and Crosses, Snakes and Ladders and Jenga
