9th June 2015

Grosvenor Britain & Ireland has released the final six homes at the Guildhall Apartments, part of the new arts complex in the heart of Southampton’s Cultural Quarter. The scheme comprises 38 one, two and three bedroom apartments, all of which have private terraces.

Alan Watt, Head of Residential Development Sales at Savills, said: “This is the first time that people have had the opportunity to live in this part of the city and the demand for homes at the Guildhall Apartments reflects this. We fully expect the final six properties to be reserved soon.”

“The Guildhall Apartments offer high quality, secure, city centre living, and will appeal to a wide section of the market; from first time buyers to downsizers. Prospective buyers will have an exclusive opportunity to see the new show apartment and the top floor penthouses by appointment."

The Guildhall Apartments are part of the new arts complex, which will comprise a multi-purpose performing arts centre with two flexible performance spaces and a dance studio to be run by Nuffield Theatre. The scheme also comprises-film based facilities for City Eye, the University of Southampton’s John Hansard Gallery as well as seven restaurant/retail units.

Simon Armstrong, Project Director at Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, which is delivering the arts complex scheme, said:  “Purchasers are really enthusiastic about this unique location. The homes offer residents unparalleled views across the city and its fabulous parks. With a huge variety of arts and cultural activities on the doorstep, The Guildhall Apartments are in a fantastic location for anyone who wants to make the most of what Southampton has to offer.”

Each apartment has been carefully designed by architects CZWG to make the most of the space and the views. They benefit from high quality interiors, including underfloor heating and timber flooring, as well as quality fixtures and fittings.

These include integrated Bosch appliances in the kitchens, Krieder kitchen units and Hansgrohe taps and showers  in the bathrooms. The Guildhall Apartments also benefit from 31 basement car parking spaces and secure bicycle storage in the basement for each unit.

The Guildhall Apartments and the retail/restaurant units will be ready for occupation in the early autumn. Following a 12 month fit out programme the arts complex is due to open in 2016.

The sales office at 126 Above Bar Street, six doors down from the development itself, is open Thursday to Monday 10am -5pm. For further enquiries, details and floor plans, visit the website at www.guildhallapartments.co.uk or call Alice Church at Savills on 02380 713964.
