The Roasting set to expand with new coffee shop in Belgravia

Grosvenor Britain & Ireland announces that The Roasting, an Italian ethically-sourced coffee shop, will open at 23 Elizabeth Street in January 2016.

7th December 2015

The Roasting is a pioneer of fair trade and ethical produce, priding itself on knowing exactly where its coffee is grown, harvested and roasted. This second opening follows the success of The Roasting café in Pimlico, central London.

Giulio Merea, Owner, The Roasting, said: “Being Italian I know how a good espresso should taste. And I also know how a proper Italian snack should be made. At The Roasting we know how to do it. We are an artisan café, contributing to the transformation of London’s coffee culture through education and enjoyment of great freshly roasted coffee."

Catherine Stevenson, Locations Director, South Belgravia, Grosvenor Britain & Ireland said: “The Roasting is a brilliant addition to the existing enclave of gastronomy in South Belgravia, sitting alongside the likes of Peggy Porschen, Cubitt House and Baker & Spice. We work hard to support independent traders in the area and pride ourselves on providing a range of high quality retailers to serve the local community and beyond.”

Elizabeth Street is known as one of London’s finest retail destinations, with a growing number of designer boutiques including Jenny Packham, Tabitha Webb, milliner Philipp Treacy and denim specialist Donna Ida.
