Turnbull & Asser opens on Davies Street, Mayfair

Turnbull & Asser, leading Royal Warrant shirt-maker, has opened a new store at 4 Davies Street, Mayfair on Grosvenor’s London estate.

25th August 2015

Over the course of 120 years, Turnbull & Asser has made shirts for a host of prestigious clients including Prime Ministers, Presidents, Sultans and Hollywood stars. The store on Davies Street will showcase the best of Turnbull & Asser’s ready-to-wear and bespoke collections as well as exclusive pieces.

This latest arrival follows a major transformation of Davies Street which firmly asserts it as a key retail location in Mayfair and an important thoroughfare connecting Oxford Street and Mount Street.

Haydn Cooper, Location Director, Mayfair at Grosvenor Britain & Ireland said: “Davies Street is fast becoming one of Mayfair’s most exciting streets. Ahead of the arrival of Crossrail in 2018 we have invested in new state-of-the-art office buildings on the northern part of Davies Street. It is a great example of what we do best, curating the right retail mix with offices and homes, to ensure that these much-loved parts of London remain great places for people to live, work and visit for generations to come.

“We are extremely pleased that Turnbull & Asser, a brand of such distinction, has chosen Davies Street as the location for their next store.”

The retailer follows Franck Namani, the leading Parisian cashmere specialist, which opened its first flagship UK store last year at 33 Davies Street, a landmark joint venture between Grosvenor and Stow Capital Partners. Davies Street is also home to a host of premium retailers including Vivienne Westwood, Udeshi and Domenico Vacca as well as the Alfred Dunhill private members club.

In addition to the completion of 33 Davies Street, which is now fully let, 69 Grosvenor Street has completed and construction is nearly complete at the Gagosian Gallery at 20 Grosvenor Hill, set to open in October. 65 Davies Street, a major new office development will be situated directly above the new Crossrail station at Bond Street.

On nearby Mount Street and South Audley Street, new openings include Christopher Kane and Balmain, with Erdem and Marni expected to open their doors later in 2015.
