Providing apprenticeship and trainee opportunities

On our rural estates we provided nine apprenticeship and trainee opportunities during 2022, enabling ambitious and talented people to learn new skills, to gain formal qualifications and to further their careers.

These included traditional and heritage skills like stone masonry and forestry as well as opportunities in farming and agriculture, conservation as well as building surveying and finance roles, with two employees working towards becoming Chartered Global Management Accountants.

In addition, we have sponsored employees to do qualifications and provided regular work experience for college and university students on our farms.
