60 years doing business in North America

Grosvenor Group embarked on its first significant international investment in 1952 with the acquisition of Annacis Island in Vancouver, which opened in 1955 as Canada’s first industrial park.

Today, with offices in San Francisco, Washington, DC, and Vancouver, Canada, our strategy at Grosvenor Americas is to invest, develop and co-invest in vibrant urban locations where our activities can make a positive contribution to neighborhoods and communities.

For over 60 years in North America, trust, integrity and respect have defined how we conduct our business. These values also influence how we work together as a team. As an international group, we bring together people from different backgrounds and professional disciplines, united by a shared set of values.

Our purpose at Grosvenor is to improve properties and places to deliver lasting commercial and social benefit. This is achieved by adopting a far-sighted approach, being locally engaged and sharing and benefitting from our international experience – we call this our Living Cities approach.

Tommy Gallagher

"Grosvenor allows me to grow professionally and effect change, while working with people who I truly value, both professionally and personally."

Sean Wheeler

"The company’s long-term strategy allows management to also take a long-term view on employees and this is a major reason the culture is so supportive and empowering."

Our culture

The culture at Grosvenor is rooted in our values. We believe in transparency and accountability and strive to uphold the highest standards of conduct in all our business and interpersonal activities.

We look at this in three main ways: through our local social impact; through sustainability and a commitment to Net Zero Carbon; and through our equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Our local social impact includes a commitment to consider the needs of the local community in all our activities; debating what we can do to contribute to these needs and executing specific actions.

In addition to this, we donate a significant amount of money annually to organizations and charities within our North American markets.
