Brentwood Block is a visionary and transformative project that will redevelop the 4600 block of Lougheed Highway, into a lively, pedestrian-oriented district. Upon completion, it will deliver six residential towers and thoughtfully curated retail and office within a generous public realm enhanced by abundant greenery and community gathering spaces. The project also includes a 100,000 sq. ft. community center owned and operated by the City of Burnaby, estimated to attract over 1M visitors to the site annually.
The retail curation aims to create a human scale experience and cultivate community. Retail storefronts throughout the site are oriented around plazas and alleyways with patios that spill out onto the public realm. Anchored by a full-service grocery store, complimentary uses such as restaurants, bistros and cafes are envisioned to activate the site from morning to night.
Brentwood Block will be the first car-free development of this scale and will link neighboring developments together, connecting the SkyTrain station to the future Brentwood Park South.
The scale and size of this innovative development will enable Grosvenor to bring our well-established expertise in place-making in urban areas to the Brentwood community, as well as deliver on our objective to have a meaningful, positive social impact in the communities where we develop.
