Trace Genomics

We believe sequencing the DNA of our humble soils holds the key to producing more nutritious foods, improving yields for growers and conserving natural resources.

Trace Genomics’ world leading scientists harness insights that can only be unearthed through DNA extraction and sequencing applied to agricultural soils, helping producers grow more food, which is healthier for consumers and better for the environment.

By analysing soils’ biological data, such as the bacteria and fungi that cause disease and cycle nutrients, alongside its chemical characteristics, Trace Genomics are providing growers and producers with an unrivalled understanding of the health and productivity of their soil.

This work is developing a world-leading database of soil microbes and furthering our knowledge of the connections between microorganisms and improving production. The health of the world’s soils is critical to the future of food production and protecting the environment.

Since 2020, we have supported Trace Genomics to improve this understanding, restore the planet’s soils and improve the profitability and resilience of farms, and in doing so sustainably increase yields of more nutritious foods.
