Grosvenor welcomes Lucas Berube and Grant Myles to Vancouver Development team

Grosvenor's  North American property business has announced new leadership hires including Lucas Berube as Vice President, Development, and Grant Myles as Vice President, Construction, Canada.

Based in Vancouver, BC, Lucas adds his project expertise and leadership to the experienced team responsible for one of the company’s largest mixed-use master planned developments in North America, Brentwood Block. Grant will oversee construction activities for Grosvenor’s Metro Vancouver development projects including Whitford and Mayfair West on Vancouver’s Westside, and Brentwood Block in Burnaby.

Lucas and Grant join Grosvenor’s seasoned Vancouver Development team, which includes an average of 15 years of industry experience across 17 professionals. The team will execute on the firm’s $6.1 billion development pipeline, delivering large-scale mixed-use developments and housing over the next decade in Metro Vancouver. This includes over 20 buildings, new and impactful community amenities, and abundant public and green spaces.

Bringing 15 years of extensive development experience to Grosvenor, Lucas collaborates with the firm’s construction, marketing and sales teams and will help lead the delivery of Brentwood Block - a sustainable, transit-oriented development in Burnaby that will deliver approximately 3,500 homes, including 2,450 rental units, 50,000 square feet of green space, a multi-storey urban community centre, and 250,000 square feet of commercial space.

Most recently, Lucas spearheaded two of Bosa Properties’ most notable projects: FifteenFifteen, a condominium tower in downtown Vancouver, and SEAandSKY, a 50-acre, mid-rise and townhome master-planned community in Squamish. Before joining Bosa, Lucas honed his expertise at Rize Alliance Properties, where he managed a diverse portfolio of mixed-use rental and condominium developments.

With two decades of experience in general contracting and in-house construction management, Grant will oversee construction activities and strategy across Brentwood Block, Whitford – a 68-unit townhome development and one of the fastest selling developments of its kind on Vancouver’s West side, and Mayfair West, set to deliver a 1.5 million square foot mixed-use community at 41st and Oak Street in Vancouver.

Before joining Grosvenor, Grant worked with general contractor ITC on notable projects such as the Woodwards development in downtown Vancouver. He then spent ten years at local developer Wall Financial, where he oversaw the construction of landmark properties, including a 47-storey residential tower in Yaletown and Shannon Estates, a 10-acre development on Vancouver’s West Side.

Marc Josephson, Senior Vice President of Development for Grosvenor’s Vancouver office said, “We are thrilled to welcome Lucas and Grant to our accomplished and growing team in Vancouver. They both bring a wealth of experience, leadership and proven track records in delivering exceptional projects. They will play important roles as we advance and deliver our significant development pipeline over the next decade and beyond.”

Since 1952, Grosvenor has built and owned significant residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties in the Vancouver region, most realized through long-term partnerships. Notable developments include the multi-award-winning Grosvenor Ambleside in West Vancouver, The RISE—a full-city block on the Cambie Street corridor, Connaught in North Vancouver, and The Pacific, a 39-storey residential tower in downtown Vancouver.
