1645 Pacific Avenue

Original handcrafted residences located in the heart of San Francisco

A limited offering of 39 residences and penthouses, 1645 Pacific Avenue's architectural design was inspired by the historical and artistic elements of the pre-war architecture in surrounding San Francisco neighbourhoods.

We chose to develop this world-class, mixed-use development in a unique location at the convergence of three famed neighbourhoods – Nob Hill, Russian Hill and Pacific Heights.

The residential units sit above three boutique retail spaces that enhance commercial activity along Pacific Avenue.

From 1907, the site served as a local car garage, and we integrated part of this original façade into the new building.

Sustainability Impact

  • Designed to LEED Silver
  • Redeveloped a parking garage to construct unique housing options
  • Commissioned a large mural by local emerging artist, Zio Ziegler, located on an interior courtyard wall for residents to enjoy. 'Chasing Desire' is contemporary piece with classical underpinnings
