Vice President of Development Financing and Transactions
As Vice President of Development Financing and Transactions for Grosvenor Property Canada, Graeme is responsible for overseeing the financing strategies for the company’s substantial development pipeline. His role involves structuring complex transactions and ensuring that financial objectives align with Grosvenor's long-term commitment to sustainability, community value, and delivering high-quality, transformative urban projects.
Graeme has built an extensive career with Grosvenor, having initially joined the company as a Finance Intern in 2007. Since joining full-time in 2012, he has steadily advanced through roles of increasing responsibility within the Finance team. His experience encompasses key corporate finance functions, including financial reporting, tax compliance, forecasting, and budgeting. This progression reflects his deep expertise in real estate finance, capital structuring, and the transaction lifecycle, which are vital to the successful execution of Grosvenor's investment and development mandate.
Prior to his tenure at Grosvenor, Graeme began his professional career articling at MacKay LLP. It was during this period that he specialized in accounting, auditing, tax, and advisory services, culminating in him earning his Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. This foundational experience underpins his strategic approach to development financing today. Graeme holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from Queen's University, specializing in finance, strategy and political science, and a Diploma in Accounting from the University of British Columbia.
