Grosvenor’s Greener Futures Fund awards £130,000 to nine community-led, climate action projects

Today the recipients of the fourth ‘Greener Futures Fund’ with the London Community Foundation were announced, as part of Grosvenor’s £1.3m community investment programme focused on communities and the climate emergency.

30 charitable and community organisations across Westminster applied for grants in this year’s funding round to support environmentally focused projects. Of which, nine were selected to receive funding totalling £130,000 between 2025–2026. Applicants were assessed in conjunction with external judges, including Westminster City Council, the Young Westminster Foundation, Belgravia Neighbourhood Forum and Groundwork.

Benefitting an estimated 3,500 people, the projects being supported are:

2-3 Degrees – Empowering 20 young people from Westminster to develop green skills through hands-on learning, mentorship, and community engagement.

St Peters Eaton Square School - Creating a 15.9-metre living wall, transforming a public-facing space into a vibrant, eco-friendly hub for learning and biodiversity.

Mayfair Neighbourhood Forum & Groundwork - Working with Peabody residents in Mayfair to co-design greener, more inclusive courtyards with improvements delivered by Groundwork’s Green Team and local volunteers.

Caxton Youth Organisation - Engaging young people in nature-based climate action through hands-onco-created activities, ranging from creating sensory gardens and recycled art to arranging biodiversity trips.

Paddington Development Trust - Introducing Nature-Hood Watch - a project inspiring residents to green and connect local spaces into a shared urban nature reserve, alongside a weekly programme of outdoor, climate-focused activities helping young children explore and care for the environment.

Energy Garden – Delivering 30 sustainability sessions in Belgravia, helping residents gain practical skills in growing food, composting, greening urban spaces, and energy literacy.

Grosvenor & Regency Residents Association – Launching a long-term greening plan involving residents in biodiversity and climate resilience activities through expert-led workshops, habitat creation, and visible nature-based improvements across the estate.

Sculpt – Delivering 6-week sustainability placements for young people, offering hands-on experience in green careers, leadership, and advocacy.

The Mason Foundation – Running a 12-month intergenerational eco-garden project at Garside House in Pimlico, bringing together neurodivergent young people and elderly residents to co-design a sustainable garden.

Since launching in 2022, ‘Greener Futures’ has invested £1.7m in the programme, supporting 43 charities and community-led projects in Westminster and directly benefitting 38,400 residents.
