Our vision is to create a place for people to live that is more than just a house.
We want to create a thriving, supportive and safe community for all of our tenants, which improves their lives and supports them to achieve their goals.
We want all of our tenants to be active participants in the community and to play their part in supporting their neighbours whenever and in whichever ways they can. We believe that this is what makes a great community.
Our approach is one of collaboration with our tenants, building upon existing and potential skills, experience and opportunities, raising aspirations and ensuring accountability and reward for all.
As a GHH tenant, there are many ways you can get involved in the GHH community:
We work with our tenants to look at how they can generously share their skills and time for the benefit of the GHH community. We know that our tenants often lead busy lives and may only have an hour to spare each week: either way, each person’s contribution is valued and valuable. These commitments might range from a doing some gardening in the communal outdoor space every month to helping another tenant with some basic DIY or shopping!
We want all our tenants to have their voices heard in a fair and equal way. We have a Customer Voice Panel, which enables our tenants to have their say on how we can improve our policies and procedures, and provide scrutiny on our services.
We would love for you to get involved- email sian.vanoosten@grosvenor.com to join the panel!
We want to bring our communities together to discuss what's important to them and to create a safe space to raise any issues or concerns about their neighbourhood. It also gives us a chance to talk about any local events coming up or other neighbourhood developments.
We regularly bring our tenants together for coffee mornings, allowing them to catch up with neighbours and GHH staff casually, over a cup of tea and make important social connections.
We want to encourage our tenants to arrange and take ownership of activities across the community based on their passions and interests. These could include a street litter pick, a board game session or or putting on a yoga session in our community spaces! Please let us know if you are interested in attending or hosting any community activities by emailing tenant.support@grosvenorhart.com
We are keen to strengthen how we collect feedback from our tenants. We have an open-door policy and welcome feedback. Tenants can email feedback@grosvenorhart.com with any suggestions, compliments or complaints, or raise them directly with a team members. We also encourage our tenants to let us know how we are doing by completing our ad hoc surveys, for example after a repair or a complaint.
The safety and security of our tenants is our priority, and we expect our tenants to look out for and support one another. For example, this might be helping someone if they are struggling to carry shopping or giving someone a knock on the door to check they are ok if you haven’t seen or heard from them in a while. You can speak to a member of GHH staff for confidential advice on appropriate action or support if something doesn’t feel right.
We expect all our tenants to respect all members of the GHH community, giving consideration to other people and celebrating the diversity of the community.
We will continue to consult with our tenants to understand how we can create the best environment for you to live and work in.
We know the richness and strength of our community comes from the people who make it up.
