PROUD WEST END: A ‘living portraits’ exhibition celebrating the West End’s LGBTQIA+ community

PROUD WEST END, an audio-visual art exhibition championing voices from the West End’s LGBTQIA+ community, is moving to Grosvenor Square from 19 July – 1 August.

New West End Company and Heard Storytelling have worked together to bring the exhibition to life for Oxford Street Pride celebrations. Following the exhibition success it’s extending its display at a new location at Grosvenor Square, hosted by Grosvenor Estate.

The installed exhibition will comprise beautiful, large-scale portraits of LGBTQIA+ individuals which are accompanied by personal and candid stories that can be listened to via QR codes.

The stories are real, authentic, lived experiences of 15 individuals who will share what ‘PROUD’ means to them, as well as their experience being part of the West End community.

It aims to challenge stereotypes, and promote acceptance. These true, spoken stories not only empower the storytellers, but also inform and inspire the broader public, shaping a more inclusive and compassionate society.
