Broadmead Village is an open-air grocery-anchored shopping centre located in the heart of the Saanich peninsula on Vancouver Island, BC. The neighborhood shopping centre features an array of specialty shops and nationally branded stores and services. 

A significant renovation resulted in a transformation of Broadmead Village that exemplifies Grosvenor's long term business approach to shaping a sustainable urban landscape.

Community Impact:  

  • $8.2m sustainability-focused renovation  
  • Widened sidewalks to improve pedestrian access and public space adding covered public seating, a zero carbon fireplace and an interactive fountain
  • Achieved Bronze and Silver certification from the Building Owners and Managers Association's (BOMA) Building Environmental Standards program in 2012. 
  • BOMA BEST Gold accreditation in 2012. BOMA BEST certification indicates that this building is making an actual, measurable difference in terms of sustainable/smart/healthy efforts.
