Our People Positive Wellbeing Index tracks 20 national ONS measures of wellbeing alongside benchmark data to identify local need and understand how our places perform. Hearing everyone’s point of view is very important to us, so as well as on-street, online surveys and community workshops, we recruited four 16-19 year olds from Westminster to work alongside us as youth researchers – read more here.
Priorities for Mayfair and Belgravia identified through our comprehensive research are perceptions of safety, sense of community and access to green space. Interventions to address these include charity partnerships to support vulnerable residents, safety workshops with local BIDs and the Metropolitan Police, and opening our private gardens to more than 1,000 children and community groups each year.
Our People Positive Fund supports community wellbeing by funding grassroots organisations that tackle these priorities and reach those most in need. This fund is managed by The London Community Foundation who Grosvenor has partnered with for ten years, during which time we’ve granted £960,000+ to projects benefitting Westminster communities.
We are inviting local businesses and partners to join us by contributing to the fund, as well as prospective applicants to register their interest.
