To help prevent crime, support prosecutions, or protect us in legal matters, we use video and CCTV recordings taken in public areas, both inside and outside our premises.

Where we get personal information from

We collect personal data from CCTV footage and other recorded images.

How long we keep information

We do not keep CCTV footage for longer than 31 days, unless it is needed for an access rights request or must be kept as evidence.

Who we share information with

We share personal details with companies that handle information for us. For instance, we use an external company that manages our CCTV system on our behalf.

Your Data Protection Rights

Under data protection law, you have several rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right of access: You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

You can request a copy of our complaints procedure at any time by emailing us.

Under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (DUAA), we are required to have a formal complaints process. This includes:

  • Acknowledging your complaint within 30 days
  • Investigating and responding without undue delay
  • Keeping you informed of progress
  • Providing a clear outcome

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to raise your concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
